Part 1c: Downloading RaspberryPi OS- Raspbian and copying it on to the SD card
- Using your regular computer (windows/mac) go to Raspberry Pi website and download the “NOOBS” zip file, it is a 1.6GB file as of 1/1/2019.
You can also use the following tutorial. - Meanwhile format your micro SD card using a utility called SD Card Formatter , you can download this application from the following: link
- Unzip the downloaded zip file and copy the contents from inside the folder on to the SD card. Do not copy the folder itself.
